Paul Bergeron, a junior at Westford Academy in Massachusetts, took third in the 5-kilometer boys championship race at the CHAMPS Sports Northeast Regional at Van Cortlandt Park in New York. Bergeron, the Massachusetts Division 1 champion, clocked 15:30.8 to secure his trip to compete Dec. 10 at the CHAMPS Sports Cross Country Championships at Balboa Park's Morley Field in San Diego, Calif.
